A 17-year-old boy from the George Gordon First Nation is dead after he was hit by a vehicle on a grid road near Punnichy on Wednesday.
The RCMP said the incident happened on grid road #640 about eight kilometres south of Punnichy at around 6:30 p.m.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The RCMP didn’t release his name.
The man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and no charges were laid.
The Punnichy RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist are investigating the collision.
