Six Regina Pats games that previously were postponed have been rescheduled by the WHL.
Those games now are set for:
- April 5: Regina at Brandon, 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for Jan. 22);
- April 8: Regina at Swift Current, 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for March 7);
- April 9: Prince Albert at Regina, 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for Jan. 28);
- April 14: Regina at Winnipeg, 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for Feb. 15);
- April 15: Regina at Winnipeg, 7 p.m. (originally scheduled for March 20); and,
- April 17: Moose Jaw at Regina, 4 p.m. (originally scheduled for March 9).
Dates also have been set for four Saskatoon Blades games that were postponed.
Games originally scheduled for Jan. 25 and 26 against the Medicine Hat Tigers and Lethbridge Hurricanes now are set for April 5 and 6, respectively.
The Blades’ home game against the Prince Albert Raiders originally scheduled for March 18 is to be played April 8, and a contest against the Brandon Wheat Kings that was to be played Jan. 28 now will go on April 15.
The WHL regular season is now slated to wrap up April 17. Tiebreaking games, if they’re needed, would be played April 19.
The league also announced the playoffs will begin on April 22 and once again will feature the conference playoff format.
Three best-of-seven rounds will be followed by a best-of-seven WHL final. That series is scheduled to run from June 3 through June 14.
The 2022 Memorial Cup tournament is to played from June 20 through June 29 in Saint John, N.B.
