A Saskatchewan company has been fined $28,000 for a workplace accident in which a worker was seriously hurt.

On Monday, Gardiner Plumbing Ltd., pleaded guilty to one charge under Occupational Health and Safety legislation in North Battleford Provincial Court.
The company was fined $20,000 plus a surcharge of $8,000. Another charge was stayed.
