The Wakaw area was hit by a hailstorm Saturday that looked more like a snowstorm.
A video posted to Facebook by Cynthia Salgado showed a road covered by hail.
“Welcome to May 28 at 10 p.m., at night out by Wakaw,” Salgado says in the video. “Look at it — and it’s seven degrees right now.”
Fields around the area were covered in a layer of white.
There was so much hail that vehicles driving through it were leaving tracks behind.
As of noon Monday, the Ministry of Agriculture had no reports of damage from the storm.
