Regina is among the areas of Saskatchewan under a frost advisory.
Environment Canada issued the advisory Thursday afternoon for regions around Regina, Fort Qu’Appelle, Yorkton, Melville, Grenfell, Moosomin, Melfort, Hudson Bay and Humboldt.
“Patchy frost is forecast to develop across parts of eastern Saskatchewan and western Manitoba overnight,” the weather service’s advisory said. “Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.”
Environment Canada puts out frost advisories when it expects temperatures to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, which could damage plants and crops.
