Police in Saskatoon are investigating after a senior citizen was attacked and forcibly confined inside a business overnight.
Police said the victim, an 87-year-old man, was inside a business on 20th Street West late Tuesday night when at least two men broke in, beat him and confined him inside before taking off.
Officers were called to the scene early Wednesday morning. The victim was injured in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment, but police said his injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The attack is now under investigation, and anyone with information on the incident was urged to contact Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
