Nearly seven months after a man was found dead inside a burned-out house on Cameron Street, a third person has been charged with first-degree murder.
Dakota Clifford George Blondeau, 31, made his first court appearance Thursday.
Two other people — Nigel Cheslock and Percy Pascal — also have been charged in connection with the death of 24-year-old Morgan Blind.
On Dec. 16, police and firefighters responded to a call of a fire at a house in the 1400 block of Cameron Street. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found the body of a man inside the house.
Investigation by the coroner and the police determined Blind had been murdered.
Pascal was arrested in late December and Cheslock was charged in late May. Blondeau was arrested on Wednesday.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Pascal pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder on April 19, 2023 and was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 18 years. The murder charge against Cheslock was stayed.
