Dr. Joseph Blondeau, microbiologist and head of clinical microbiology at RUH and the U of S joins Gormley to talk about the evolution of the virus, and what we know now that we didn’t before.

9:00– Michael Boda, Saskatchewan’s Chief Electoral Officer has recently recommended a new way to modernize the province’s election system. He joins Gormley to discuss how we can make the voting system better.

10:00– With inflation and grocery prices still rising, we might finally catch a break at the grocery store. Loblaws is freezing the prices on all of its no-name brand items until January 31st, 2023. There are over 1500 no-name products from the company, and Loblaw’s is the first Canadian grocer to voluntarily freeze the prices of food products. Sylvain Charlebois, professor in food distribution and policy at Dalhousie University tells us more.

11:00– Tom Blackwell, a National Post reporter recently spent 10 days in Taiwan to research how the country has changed politically and economically. He joins Gormley to discuss how the country may be the next Ukraine when it comes to threats.

12:00– Tomorrow a new festival is arriving in Saskatoon. The Saskatchewan Jewish Arts Festival will take place from October 19-23 and will feature music, film, and visual art from the Jewish community. Joel Bernbaum, the curator of the Jewish Arts Festival tells us what we can expect for this week’s event.
