A 53-year-old Muenster man is facing charges from Saskatchewan’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
That unit is comprised of police from multiple agencies around the province, with a mandate to investigate child abuse and exploitation online.
According to police, officers began an investigation in February and, on Thursday, they executed a search warrant at a home in Muenster.
Police arrested a 53-year-old man after the search, and he’s now facing two charges of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography available.
The man was released from custody “on numerous conditions,” and will appear in a Humboldt courtroom May 1, police said.
Muenster is located about nine kilometres east of Humboldt.
