City giving away tree seedlings in Victoria Park on Wednesday morning

Plant a seed and grow a tree.

The City of Regina will be giving away 1,000 tree seedlings in Victoria Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, while supplies last, Mayor Sandra Masters said in a Facebook post.

She also said this is being done to celebrate the United Nations recognizing Regina as a Tree City of the World for the fourth straight year and to acknowledge Arbor Day.

According to the mayor, the Queen City has over 500,000 hand-planted trees.
