Lt.-Gov. Russ Mirasty is hosting a celebration at Government House to mark Canada’s 156th birthday on Saturday.
The event, which runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., is open to the public and is free of charge.
On Thursday, the schedule for the celebration was revealed.
Main stage show
- 1 p.m. — Prairie Gael School of Irish Dance
- 1:30 p.m. — Hoop dancer Terrance Littletent
- 2 p.m. — Greetings from the lieutenant-governor and singing of O Canada
- 2:15 p.m. — Singer/songwriter/fiddler/guitarist Donny Parenteau & Band
- 3:15 p.m. — The Philippine Association of Saskatchewan Dancers
Outdoor entertainment and activities
- 1:15 and 3 p.m. — KAOS Dogsports
- 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. — Storybook Princesses & Superheroes
- 2:10 and 2:30 p.m. — Saskatchewan Science Centre shows
- 1 to 4 p.m. — Métis finger weaving
- 1 to 4 p.m. — HMCS Queen bouncy castle
- 1 to 4 p.m. — Girl Guides bubble blowing

Some seats will be set up near the main stage, but people may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, the festivities will be moved indoors.
