An army of inflatable dinosaurs is making its way to Dundurn on Canada Day in an attempt to break a world record.
More than 1,000 people have registered to help break the world record for the most people wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes in one area. The current record is 380, so Dundurn is expected to clear the record by a wide margin.
Big Mur’s Tavern is hosting the event, and owner Gary Grady said he has always wanted to break a world record.
The event gets underway at 3 p.m. on Main Street and the official count happens at 5 p.m.
“It’s like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved in something like this,” said Kayla Procyshyn, a bartender at Big Mur’s.
