A company has been fined $250,000 in connection with a worker’s death nearly two years ago.
On July 11, Align Energy Services Ltd., pleaded guilty in Kindersley Provincial Court to violating a clause of Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
The company was fined $178,571.43 with a $71,428.57 surcharge. Four other charges were withdrawn.
The incident occurred Aug. 15, 2021 in the Rural Municipality of Oakdale, where a worker was fatally injured when they were hit by a flex pipe reel.
