The RCMP said officers from the Rosetown detachment got a report Monday afternoon about a crash between a westbound semi and an eastbound SUV just west of Tessier on Highway 7.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, police said, while the driver of the semi reported only minor injuries. The family of the Medicine Hat man has been notified of his death, police said.
The highway was closed Monday while police investigated the crash, but it has since reopened to traffic.
Tessier is located about 60 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
