A 19-year-old man is facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection with a killing Saturday in Regina.
Regina police said Monday that Kesar Shannon had been charged in the murder of a 23-year-old man.
Police were called at about 1:15 a.m., to the 1200 block of Winnipeg Street for a report of an injured man. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
After being arrested, Shannon was charged with first-degree murder, disguise with intent, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.
He was to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Monday.
