Extreme cold warnings lifted for much of Saskatchewan

Extreme cold warnings that were in effect for large portions of Saskatchewan on Wednesday morning were lifted just before 10:30 a.m.

The warnings from Environment Canada had covered the central of the province, including Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Melfort, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Tisdale, Warman and Yorkton.

The warnings remained in place for areas in the far north.

According to Environment Canada, Saskatoon is expected to hit a high of 6 C on Thursday.

The plunging temperatures follow an Alberta Clipper that moved through Saskatchewan early in the week, bringing plenty of snow along with it.
