An 18-year-old woman from Saskatoon is facing a first degree murder charge stemming from a body found outside city limits last fall.
Warman RCMP said in a news release Thursday the woman is charged in the death of 37-year-old Patrick Dong, also from Saskatoon.
His body was found in a rural area southwest of Saskatoon on the morning of Oct. 23, but an arrest wasn’t made until Wednesday after a continued investigation into the death.
The woman charged was 17 at the time of the crime, and can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
She appeared in provincial court Thursday morning and will return on June 13.
