RCMP are revealing little details about an incident on Big Island Lake Cree Territory last week that saw a man charged with second-degree murder on Monday.
In a news release on Sept. 17. Saskatchewan RCMP said the man was arrested and charged in relation to the death of a woman on Big Island Lake Cree Territory that happened on Sept. 12. Police are still working to confirm the woman’s identity.
The man charged is from Big Island Lake Cree Territory, and RCMP said his court date was not yet confirmed.
RCMP Major Crimes is continuing to investigate, they said.
Big Island Lake Cree Territory is located northwest of Meadow Lake, near the Alberta border.
