10:30 – The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan has spent much of this week in front of the Supreme Court of Canada, appearing in Ottawa for a case brought by the organization against the Government of Saskatchewan. Pierre Hawkins, public legal council, joins Evan from Ottawa on the last day of arguments.

11:00 – Members from both sides of the political aisle are applauding a new bill that just passed unanimously in the House of Commons. Frank Caputo, Member of Parliament for Kamloops-Thompson-Caribou and graduate from the University of Saskatchewan School of Law, wrote Bill C-291, which seeks to change wording in the Criminal Code from “child pornography” to “child sexual abuse and exploitation material.” He joins Evan to discuss the bill.

Researchers from Simon Fraser University and the University of Saskatchewan are developing a technology called printed electronics that could one day tell you when your milk has gone bad without even opening your fridge door. Simon Fraser University lead researcher, Loren Kaake, joins Evan to share more about their findings.
