In the early hours of Jan. 2, Battlefords RCMP recieved a report of an injured man at a home on Saulteaux First Nation, which is 40km north of North Battleford.
Officers and ESM arrived at the scene where EMS pronounced a 24-year-old man from the First Nation dead.
His family have been notified and victim services have been made available.

His death was considered suspicious.
Later that day, a 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested at a home on the First Nation and charged with first-degree murder.
The pair are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Jan. 6.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continue to investigate.
