Victoria Avenue is open again, after part the road was closed to traffic on Thursday morning due to a police investigation into a man’s death.
According to the Regina Police Service, the east and westbound lanes of the busy road were closed to all traffic between Broder Street and Winnipeg Street due to the police investigation. The road was reopened to traffic just after 10:30 a.m.

Police said officers were called to the 800 block of Victoria Avenue at 5:30 a.m., where they found a man injured.
“He was declared deceased a short time later,” police said.
“Officers secured the scene and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit and the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit. At this early stage of the investigation, there are no further details that will be released to the public. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.”
