Four people escaped unharmed as a blaze in the Dundonald neighbourhood of Saskatoon damaged two homes as well as a number of vehicles on Monday morning.
Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) said in a news release on May 19 that crews were called to the 400 block of Nesbitt Way around 7:30 a.m. and sent three fire engines, as well as a ladder truck and rescue unit.

SFD said when the first engine arrived firefighters found the front of a house ablaze and shortly after the officer in charge of the fire scene called for an additional fire engine and ladder truck more apparatus as a neighbouring home and vehicles parked in the driveway were also burning.
SFD said utilities were shut down for scene safety and the fire was brought under control at 8:19 a.m.
A fire investigator will look at the cause and origin of the blaze, SFD said, and further details would be provided “when practical.”
