The lap pool opened Thursday at 7 a.m. The leisure pool, water slides and hot tub open Friday.
This one-day delay comes from a brief pause in filling the pools related to the voluntary water restrictions, which have since been lifted.
Two nearly 30-foot-tall waterslides tower over the facility and its three pools.
To the north is the leisure pool, which has a zero-depth entry, spray toys, two smaller slides, a lazy river and a basketball net.
In the middle is a hot tub that has water shoulder massagers.
And to the south is the 10-lane swimming pool with diving boards and a climbing wall.
The Wascana Pool hosts a variety of events and activities like swimming lessons, leisure swims, special family swims and even night swims. Event details can be found on the city’s website.
The Buffalo Meadows, Maple Leaf, Massey and Regent pools are scheduled to open on June 12.
Swimming is free at Buffalo Meadows and Maple Leaf pools all summer long.
Each pool has its own schedule and programming.
Spray Pads open
The city-owned spray pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. They opened at the end of May.
To activate a spray pad, simply push the button or wave your hand in front of the sensor to turn the water on.
Locations can be found on the city’s website.
