A 19-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly using bear spray on a Saskatoon police officer Thursday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., police were in the 900 block of 22nd Street West when they saw an altercation involving bear spray among a large group of people outside a restaurant.

Then an officer approached the group, the woman fled on foot and deployed bear spray in the direction of the officer.
She was taken into custody shortly after.
She’s been charged with assaulting a peace officer, possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and breaching court-ordered conditions.
