Weather in some parts of Saskatchewan was like a scene out of a movie on Thursday evening.
Environment and Climate Change Canada said it was looking into eight “likely” tornadoes that touched down in the province all within a span of hours.
They’re calling it a “tornado outbreak.”

The twisters were spotted in eastern Saskatchewan, east of Saskatoon and in the southeast corner of the province, around the Estevan area.
While a number of the twisters cruised through farmland, a house near Kronau wasn’t so lucky.
Barrett Eberle is a farmer just east of the small community, which is about 28 km southeast of Regina.
A tornado ripped through his home.
“The interior of the house is completely devastated,” he said.
“There aren’t many windows left in the house. The roof is gone. A sea can (shipping container) was thrown into the side of the shop, which caused significant damage to the wall. There are cracks all over the drywall.”
The damage didn’t stop there.
The sun room was almost completely ripped from the home, the roof was lifted on the whole building, including the shop, and there’s glass shrapnel everywhere.
“It’s very severe damage,” he said.

Eberle also believes the tornado picked up some equipment weighing over 100,000 lbs.
“Our tractor hooked up to our drill with liquid carts and a seed cart … was picked up, and there’s debris under all the tires that came from the house. So this thing was floating in the air at one point.”
