“It started off in the living room, and I saw my neighbors outside and it was clear to me what happened,” she said.
“As soon as the fire got more intense you could hear the windows breaking and crashing down, and you could see my neighbors in despair and heartbreak as they watched their house burn down.”
I’m on scene of a house fire this morning in Regina.
We know that several people were taken to the hospital with burns.
Neighbours tell me that includes a couple of kids.
They also say the owners were calling for their dogs who didn’t make it out of the blaze. #YQR pic.twitter.com/WdKtuuz2W2

Pelletier said one man who lived at the home was standing on the street, holding his nephew and crying out for his dogs.
“One of his dogs’ name was Brian, and he was going back to the house to go get him, but the fire was already too intense and they couldn’t turn the doorknob because it was already so hot,” she said with tears in her eyes.
“It was really heartbreaking to watch.”
She said it was an emotional day for everyone on the crescent.
“Everybody was sitting here in tears, watching with grief what happened to the family,” Pelletier said.
“It was a sense of grief that we all felt.”

She said two kids got out of the burning home. One child appeared to have suffered burns, and the other had soot on their clothes.
“They were in their pajamas,” Pelletier said. “I just feel a total loss for them, because you wake up in your pajamas and say goodbye to your house at the same time. That’s very sad.”
Pelletier’s daughter Chloe said she went outside on Wednesday morning and saw a big fire at the house.
“I didn’t know what to do, and I was scared, so I ran to my mom and tried to tell her to call people,” she explained. “I was just in shock.”
Chloe said she saw the kids covered in ashes.
“I think they got burned, and they were freaking out and crying,” she said.
“It was very intense, and it was hard seeing what happened.”
