Three months after a man was hit by a Saskatoon transit bus, charges have been laid.
The 42-year-old bus driver has been charged with failing to stop after an accident.
“The employee was put on administrative leave shortly after the incident occurred while an internal investigation was carried out and no longer works for Saskatoon Transit,” said the City of Saskatoon in a statement.

The incident happened on May 18 at around 7 p.m. in the Holliston neighbourhood in the 1900 block of 8th Street East.
When police arrived, they found an injured 49-year-old man who was hit by the transit bus that had fled the scene, according to police.
“The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening,” Saskatoon police said in an earlier statement.
Police provided no further details about the man’s current condition.
