2:05 – The Starting Lineup
The Saskatchewan Roughriders were back at practice today to continue preparing for the Labour Day Classic. Also, receiver Ajou Ajou will be returning to the green and white after a stint down south. Addison Barger’s two-run double gave the Toronto Blue Jays the lead, and they didn’t look back, beating Minnesota 9-8 in an eventful game at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday night. Canadian Leylah Fernandez won her 2nd round matchup on Wednesday to move on in the U.S. Open tournament. Fernandez, the 2021 runner-up, will take on world number one Aryna Sabalenka in a 3rdround matchup on Friday.
The NFL unveiled a new set of threads for teams, dubbed the “rivalries” uniforms. It starts this year with eight teams (all eight teams in the NFC West and AFC East), with the rest of the teams unveiling their new jerseys in the next couple of seasons.
2:35 – Christine Bumstead, Assistant Coach PWHL Seattle
Former assistant coach with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies women’s hockey team, Christine Bumstead, is making the jump to the pros. She was hired last week to join the PWHL Seattle team as an assistant coach. She joins Jamie and Locker to chat about her leap to the professional ranks and her time at USask.

Dan Clark, former Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive lineman, joins Jamie and Locker to reminisce on his memories from playing in the Labour Day Classic and discuss what it is like as a player to play in such a big game.

Riders reporter Britton Gray stops by with his daily visit to discuss the return of Ajou Ajou and who was and wasn’t a participant for practice today and what that might mean for their availability for Sunday’s game.

Andrew Harris is very familiar with the Labour Day Classic, just not as a member of the Riders. The former CFL vet and Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back is in his first season as the running back coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He stops by to discuss his time playing in the Labour Day Classic and what it will be like to be wearing green and white instead of blue and gold this year.
