A Regina Police Service (RPS) officer shot dead a dog on Saturday after they were injured in an attack.
RPS said in a news release that it was investigating the shooting which happened in a back alley in the 1400 block of Cameron Street around 3:35 p.m. on Sept. 6.

Police said the officer suffered minor physical injuries and was treated in hospital and released.
RPS said its member had been attacked by a dog, which was not on a leash, and fired at the animal, resulting in its death.
The investigation is ongoing, police said. No further details have been released.
