A 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy have each been charged with robbery on Monday.
At about 10 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of Argyle Street for a report of a weapons offence involving a machete.

The police report indicated one youth was armed with the machete and allegedly robbed a victim of his cellphone and backpack.
When officers arrived, “the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by an unknown male wielding what appeared to be a machete. The suspect demanded the victim’s belongings. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene in a waiting vehicle,” read the Regina Police Service statement.
About 15 minutes later, police located and arrested the suspects in the 400 block of Albert Street.
The two youth made their first appearances at Regina Provincial Youth Court this morning.
