The Jays won the American League Championship with a 4-3 Game 7 victory thanks to an historic three-run home run by George Springer in the bottom of the seventh inning.
With the Jays trailing 3-1, Springer hit the eventual game winning home run over the left field fence.

The Jays were able to shut down the Mariners in the final two innings to punch their ticket to the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which will begin on Friday in Toronto.
The Jays haven’t been in a World Series game since 1993, when the franchise won back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993.
The last time the Jays made it to the ALCS was in 2016, where they lost to Cleveland in five games.
Another game, another comeback
Seattle put points on the scoreboard first, with Julio Rodríguez scoring in the first inning.
George Springer quickly responded for the Jays, tying it up at 1-1.
Starting pitcher was Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber, who was picked up from the Cleveland Guardians at the trade deadline.
Bieber was pulled with two outs in the fourth inning with the Jays trailing 2-1.
His replacement, Louis Varland gave up a solo home run to Cal Raleigh in the fifth, putting the Mariners up 3-1.
After the seventh inning stretch, nervous Jays fans were hoping they’d see the Jays make another comeback after a season full of them.

Fans got their wish when Springer—who had scored the only run for the Jays up to that point—came to the plate with two men on.
That’s when Springer added himself to Blue Jays lore launching the ball into the fans over the left field fence and erupting the sold out Rogers Centre crowd.
Jeff Hoffman secured the game by striking out the side in the top of the ninth and Game 1 and Game 5 starter Kevin Gausman was credited with the win after pitching a scoreless seventh inning coming out of the bullpen.
