There are no skeletons in the Davis family’s closet – they’re all outside on the front lawn.
The Regina family loves Halloween so much that most of the spooky display has been set up since September in the Parliament Place neighbourhood.

The family’s yard on 25th Avenue is crawling with bone-rattling skeletons. The “Davis Dead & Breakfast” has skeletons towering above the house, climbing the walls and dragging themselves up from the grass.

The decorations are something three-year-old Alistair Davis loves to point out, using large plastic bone.
“It looks like a vampire yard,” he yelled, grinning from ear to ear.
The inside of the Davis family home is adorned with the eerie decorations all year round, but nothing is more exciting for Alistair than sharing what he sees every day with the community.
“I like spooky, spooky skeletons,” Alistair said.
After last Halloween, Alistair’s mother Kaylee said she didn’t want the frightening fun to end, so they left up some of the larger decorations through the winter.
“We just really love the season. This is just how we are year round.”

“We put up a few last year and had a lot of fun with it, and just went crazy this year.”
Kaylee said her family has been referred to as a “real-life Addams Family.”
Instead of bringing toys to keep themselves amused while she’s running errands, she said her kids will occasionally walk around stores carrying plastic severed limbs.
“Everybody just thinks that’s super funny,” she laughed. “Our house inside is decorated like that all year, so it’s just kind of their norm.”
Her family’s efforts to create a haunted home have attracted a lot of attention.

“We have vehicles that will stop here every day all year,” Kaylee said. “It was fun just kind of being that house that people like to stop at, and it makes kids happy, and they like to see it.”
Jason, Kaylee’s husband, said their decorations brought in more than 300 trick-or-treaters last year. He said they put up even more decorations this year, trying to make their home look like a haunted house.
“I wanted to put boards on the windows,” Jason said. “It’s just scrap wood and alien tape holding it up… Knock on wood – they haven’t fallen down yet.”

Jason said he spends lots of time looking online for designs to incorporate into the display, and he’s excited to see how many people stop by the home on Halloween.
