A teenage boy has been charged with attempted murder and assault charges in connection to a woman who was taken to hospital and suffered injuries “described as serious in nature,” said police in a statement.
Kamsack RCMP received a report of an injured person located on the Keeseekoose First Nation on Sunday morning at about 2:45 a.m. Police say they arrested the boy at a residence in the community shortly after.

Keeseekoose First Nation is located 18 kilometres north of Kamsack.
Kamsack RCMP have charged a youth with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
The name or the age of the boy cannot be released as it may identify him, which is prohibited under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He has been remanded into custody until his next appearance in Yorkton.
