Regina police are asking people to check Halloween candy after it received a report of candy possibly being tampered with in East Regina on Oct. 31.
Police said a concerned parent called them to say they found a chocolate bar with what appeared to be a piece of thin metal inside, similar to a needle in their child’s Halloween candy after they noticed a small hole in the wrapper.
The caller told police the child was trick-or-treating near Green Moss Lane in the Greens on Gardiner neighbourhood in East Regina.
Police said the child was collecting candy on Green Moss Lane, Green Bank Road, Green Apple Drive, Green Water Drive, Green Spruce Place and Green Brook Road.
Any suspicious candy should be reported to police by calling 306-777-6500.
