A Richmound man who housed the self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada,” Romana Didulo, appeared in court this week, where his bail conditions were loosened.
Ricky Manz appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court on Wednesday morning, facing more than half a dozen charges stemming from his involvement with the Kingdom of Canada.

The court considered the 61-year-old man’s application for less strict bail conditions in order to perform civic duties and address necessary bylaws.
The no-contact condition relating to several parties was amended to allow Manz to contact certain individuals by writing, mail, or email, through a lawyer, or in person if initiated by the other party. Manz is to continue his no-contact court order with Didulo.
“I’m not opposed to him having some contact [with the individuals] by way of mail or email for business purposes,” said Crown prosecutor Curtis Wiebe, who gave consent for the changes.
He faces charges include assault on a peace office, assault, failure to comply with an undertaking condition, intimidation of a justice system participant, resisting arrest, mischief, uttering a threat and obstructing a municipal employee.
Manz is set to return to court on Nov. 20 in Leader, Sask.
