There are several events taking place across Regina on Remembrance Day as residents to pay their respects to veterans.
The Royal Canadian Legion’s Regina Branch is hosting its annual indoor service at the Brandt Centre on November 11.

The service includes a ceremonial parade, wreath laying and honours all veterans, past and present.

Doors open at 9 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony is expected to wrap up by noon.
At the same time, an outdoor service will take place at the Victoria Cenotaph in Victoria Park.
Guests are encouraged to arrive by 10:30 a.m. The ceremony begins at 10:45 a.m.

The Nightingales Wartime Tribute quartet takes the stage at Darke Hall at 2 p.m. Their performance is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Howard Leyton-Brown, a wartime pilot and flight instructor, as well as a noted violinist and conductor.
What’s open and closed in Regina on Remembrance Day
In Regina, the national holiday means civic offices will be closed and parking meters will not be in effect.
But despite the holiday, some city services will continue without interruption. Waste collection will continue as scheduled, the city said in a news release. The landfill will be open at 7:30 a.m., and gates close at 5:15 p.m.
Transit will operate using its Sunday schedule, but the information centre and RIDELine will be closed. Paratransit service will operate on its holiday schedule from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
At the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery and Regina Cemetery, gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but the city said the office will be closed.
Some leisure centres will be open for limited hours, including the North West Leisure Centre and the Sanda Schmirler Leisure Centre, which are both open from noon to 6 p.m. The Sportplex – Fieldhouse & Lawson Aquatic Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre, Kramer IMAX Theatre and Regina Public Library locations will be open on Tuesday, starting at noon.
The Royal Saskatchewan Museum will be operating as usual, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre and Art Gallery of Regina will be closed for the day.
