The Saskatchewan Roughriders knocked off the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 on Sunday, to claim the organization’s fifth championship title and a place in CFL history.

Rider fans who packed the Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg had a front row seat to the celebration.
When it was time to file out, the party continued onto the street.

It’s been a long time coming for fans of the Green and White, but fans say this win was worth the wait.

In Canwood, Sask., the game was projected onto the side of the local grain elevator, creating an outdoor watch party for the community.
In Saskatoon, drivers on Eighth Street honked their horns in celebration of the win on Sunday night.

Police in Saskatoon said fans seemed to be on their best behavior after the win.
“There were no significant issues related to the Grey Cup last night,” a police spokesperson said in an email.
“Everything was celebratory, yet peaceful.”
