Fahlman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Tanya Myers, who was travelling as a passenger in an SUV on Highway 39 outside Weyburn in September.
He’s also facing a charge of intentionally discharging a firearm while being reckless to the safety of another person.
The hearing lasted two days, with both the Crown and defence lawyers making their arguments.
Any details and evidence shared during the hearing cannot be shared due to a publication ban.
Fahlman sat handcuffed, dressed in a blue dress shirt and jeans. He remained expressionless for most of the proceedings, occasionally furrowing his brow on Thursday.
Fahlman has cooperated with the proceedings when told to do so.
Supporters of Myers and Fahlman sat in the courtroom listening to the arguments, some wiping away tears at certain points on Wednesday.
The Crown dropped manslaughter and three gun-related charges related to Fahlman last week, and laid the current charges he’s facing now.
There is no set timeline for when the judge will make his decision.
