Murray Wood: A Two-fer for Mark Carney
Getting consensus on a pipeline, and getting the self-righteous pain in the ass former Environment Minister Steven Guilb...
From the top of Regina’s government in 2024, to the top circles of the Saskatchewan government in 2025, Sandra Masters appears to have landed on her feet.
According to an Order in Council within the provincial government, as of Monday, Masters has been hired as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the communications branch within Executive Council in the provincial government.
Executive Council supports the premier and ministers’ offices.
The order also lists her salary at $14,221 per month, which works out to more than $170,000 annually.
Masters was the first woman to be elected as mayor of Regina, and served one term from 2020 to 2024. She lost her re-election campaign last fall, succeeded by current mayor Chad Bachynski.
