Christmas came early for a Sturgis woman, who claimed more than $900,000 after winning a VLT jackpot in Preeceville this month.
According to Western Canada Lottery Corporation, Heather Jaeb is $900,144.91 richer after claiming the Vault Breaker jackpot at the Golden West Hotel in Preeceville on Dec. 16.

Jaeb said the windfall will make a big difference in her life, as she “won’t be living paycheck to paycheck anymore” after the big win.
“I’m going to pay some bills and buy another horse – maybe even build a big barn, too,” Jaeb said in a statement. “Then I’ll save the rest for the kids.”
Vault Breaker is a progressive jackpot that links 4,200 VLTs at more than 560 sites around the province. Since 2017, Western Canada Lottery Corporation said the jackpot has paid out more than $58.7 million to 59 winners.
