A major fundraiser for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival will be held at the end of the month.
Taste of Cathedral is set for 6 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Canadian Italian Club on Connaught Street. The event offers food and drinks from 11 vendors, along with a silent auction and live music.

This year’s festival includes food from 13th Avenue Food & Coffee House, Auntie Maggie’s Caribbean Meals, Blanco Cantina, Canadian Italian Club, Cuppa T’ Specialty Fine Teas, Fiesta Filipino, Filigree Chocolaterie, Pause Coffee, Pumpjacks Cathedral, Shannon’s Pub & Grill and Rebellion Brewing.
“I know we always say that this is going to be the biggest year ever,” Don Young, the director of the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, said in a statement.
“But that’s how it seems to always work out. We’re a little bigger, a little more successful every year. And with this being our 35th, we’re really looking back on what we’ve accomplished with pride.”
Organizer Linda Rattray noted that the event is not only a key fundraiser for the festival, but it also brings a boost to local businesses featured at Taste of Cathedral.
“Music for the 2026 Taste Of Cathedral will be provided by Hotdog! Bluegrass,” the Cathedral Village Community Association noted.
“And the night will also feature the famous Taste Of Silent Auction which this year features some rare books, some rare ceramics, a shard of mastodon bone and a (probably haunted) doll.”
Tickets for the event, which can be purchased online or at Dessart Sweets on 13th Avenue, cost $25, with tasting tickets sold for $1.
