Police in Saskatoon say two people armed with a knife and bear spray mugged a shopper in the stairwell of a downtown mall on Thursday.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called to Midtown mall on First Avenue South at around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

“Upon arrival, officers learned that two suspects armed with a knife and bear spray had robbed the male victim of his property in a stairwell within the mall,” the police force said in a statement.
“The suspects then fled the area. It is unknown if the suspects and victim were known to one another.”
No further details on the suspects were shared, but police said the incident is currently under investigation.
