“The injured male was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.”
Police said officers searched the area and spotted the SUV outside a home in Little Red River. After officers surrounded the home, a man and a woman came outside and were arrested, the Mounties said.
The 34-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were both charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized. The man was also charged with discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and five counts of possession of weapons contrary to a court order.
