Greenall High School in Balgonie was under lockdown on Wednesday morning after Mounties received a report of a person with a firearm in a vehicle in the area.
As a precaution, the Saskatchewan RCMP said the school was placed under “hold and secure” at 11 a.m.

“This meant exterior doors were locked and monitored and classes continued with students remaining in classrooms with locked doors. No people were allowed to enter or leave the building until further notice,” the Prairie Valley School Division explained in an email statement.
Police said two male youths were arrested, “and officers located and seized three BB style long guns.”
The lockdown was lifted at noon. No injuries were reported, and police said there is no risk to public safety.
The school division noted that no students were under an immediate threat.
The RCMP said there will an increased police presence on Wednesday in Balgonie as the investigation continues. Police are expected to share more details about the incident during a news conference on Wednesday afternoon.
