A Saskatoon man seems to have predicted his million-dollar win on a VLT machine last month.
According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, before Saskatoon’s Daniel Bokshowan won $1,368,380 on a VLT machine at Tapps Sports Lounge and Grill, he told a waitress, “I’m going to win millions!”

Bokshowan won the grand prize Vault Breaker jackpot on March 27. He said he wasn’t familiar with the game before playing, and didn’t immediately understand how much he’d won. He said he was just kidding when he predicted the big win, and when it happened both he and the waitress were shocked.
“I got five symbols and thought, ‘This should be something good,’” Bokshowan said in a statement.
He said he plans to share the prize with his sister, and “might look into a new car.”
Bokshowan said he travelled the world during his career, and met a family from Mongolia who later moved to Saskatchewan. He said the family has three children, and he might set up a fund to help with their education.
Vault Breaker is a progressive jackpot that links 4,200 VLTS at more than 550 sites around the province.
