Regina police are investigating a Saturday morning fire as an arson and have laid charges in a weapons offence that happened the same day.
Around midnight on April 11, officers responded to the 4600 block of Mutrie Crescent after learning of a vehicle fire in the driveway of a home. A vehicle was fully ablaze when officers arrived at the scene.

A patrol car fire extinguisher was able to put out the flames before Regina Fire and Protective Services arrived.
Police said in a release that no one was inside the vehicle when it was on fire.
The Regina Police Service is investigating the incident as an arson. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Weapons charges laid against 28-year-old
Later, around 6:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a weapons offence.
Officers arrived at the area of Winnipeg Street and College Avenue and found a man suffering from a stab wound. Paramedics responded by the victim declined to be treated.
Police received a description of the suspect and a man matching that description was found and arrested a short time later. Searching the suspect after his arrest, police found and seized two knives.
The man, 28, has been charged with assault with a weapon and obstructing a peace officer. He will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on June 1.
