“The vehicle was located in the Indian Head and then Fort Qu’Appelle detachment areas driving at a high rate of speed. RCMP followed it,” the Mounties said in a statement.
“The SUV stopped north of Fort Qu’Appelle and the two occupants – one adult male and one adult female – were arrested by RCMP without further incident.”
No injuries were reported and the RCMP added that the incident was “not random.”
On Thursday, police said the 44-year-old man who was arrested is now facing charges including forcible confinement, assault, dangerous driving, flight from a peace officer, failing to comply and driving while prohibited.
He appeared in a courtroom in Broadview on Thursday, Mounties said.
