A body has been located along the South Saskatchewan River, according to Saskatoon police.
Officers responded to Sturgeon Drive and Spadina Crescent East around 9 a.m. on Friday morning after getting a report that there was a body in the river.

“An unidentified male was located upon officer arrival,” police stated in a news release.
In an update issued on May 11, police said the death is not considered suspicious, and said the man’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
While police refused to share the man’s name or cause of death, a police spokesperson said his death was believed to be a suicide.
Man stabbed in Fairhaven
A stabbing early Thursday morning led to police being called to the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive for a report of an injured person.
When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had been stabbed, according to a police release.
“Through investigation, officers learned that a confrontation had occurred between two parties outside of a business before the victim was stabbed and the suspects fled,” police stated.
Saskatoon police said members of its serious assault unit are still investigating.
