Just after 5:30 a.m. on May 28, 2022, police responded to the 800 block of 11th Avenue East in Prince Albert after getting a report saying a man had been shot.
When officers arrived, Lavallee was found in the 1000 block of 7th Street East, “suffering from serious injuries.” He was taken to the Victoria Hospital by paramedics, where he died from his injuries.
“Today we are asking for the public’s help. Somebody knows what happened to Lawrence. Somebody knows the truth, who took his life,” said Shannon Lavallee, Lawrence’s mother, quoted in a police statement.
“We are pleading with anybody who has information, please come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could bring answers to our family and find justice for Lawrence. We will continue to speak his name, honor his memory and fight for the truth until justice is served for my Son,” Shannon continued.
Sgt. Tyler Chester, with the P.A. police’s major crimes unit, said the police force needs people to come forward with information.
“It doesn’t matter how small, and it doesn’t matter if we’ve spoken to you previously. Let’s get Lawrence’s family the answers they deserve,” Chester said.
“If you have any information in relation to this homicide, observed or heard anything suspicious in the area of the 1000 Block of 7th Street East between 5:15 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. on May 28, 2022, please contact police or Crime Stoppers,” police said in a release.
