RCMP officers are investigating a shooting that left two people injured on the Waterhen Lake First Nation on Saturday morning.
According to the Mounties, officers got a report of the shooting at a home on the First Nation north of Meadow Lake at around 3 a.m.

When police arrived at the home, they found two adult victims suffering from injuries that were not believed to be life threatening. Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police asked anyone who may have information on the shooting or video surveillance footage of any suspicious activity on the First Nation to get in touch with the RCMP or make a report anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public,” the Mounties noted.
